I owe you an apology for not being consistent in writing new content here on Medium. This post should serve as a summary of events and experiences which derailed me from writing on Medium as often as I used to.

Slow and steady wins the race

The last article I wrote was back in March about my intention to learn how to speedread. the comments underneath that article alongside advice received from my friends helped me decide against the pursuit of speedreading. Instead of doing things faster, I focus on doing everything well.

Only consistency and resilience help me accomplish the great things I did. I was able to finish the CELTA certification program, finish the second year of my linguistics degree with a good average grade and also managed to keep my sanity intact.

My psyche is much more important to me than getting everything done and pleasing everyone who asks me to help them or work for them. There are times when I need to say no in order to preserve my mental well being.

Time to unwind

I decided against desperately writing something every day because it stopped being fun and helpful and it started becoming a stressful chore.

I intend to use this platform as a way to share my authentic self with the people who care enough to read the real-life stories.

I cannot promise you a huge artistic value in my writings. What I can promise is that all opinions and experiences presented in this blog are genuine. I like to sprinkle a bit of humour into my writing to make the topics more palatable. So what for me is a time to relax and unwind may for you become a time to see the world with a different pair of eyes. To be uplifted and motivated to go out and make the world a better place.

Inspire me

As I unwind I sometimes want to read something different from the obligatory school literature. Please use the comment section under this article to suggest to me some things to read. If I like it and it inspires me I will make a short review where your suggested article will be featured.

At present I have over 200 followers on Medium, I am sure that there are at least some of you who also write and would enjoy if a reader or two, takes the time to appreciate and connect with your work.

Now is your time to shine
